Mugabi Children's Home is a registered charity operating in Wanyama, Bugembe. Since 2016, we have been caring for needy and orphaned children. We mainly focus on the education of the children. We know that, needy children will sometime find something to eat on the street and they will find some clothes to wear but they won't find anybody who is taking care of their education. If we don't focus on that, none of the children we are feeding right now, will have the chance of having a normal independent life." Many children in Uganda are homeless and impoverished. Homeless children are permanently exposed to danger in life and limb. It is very difficult to protect themselves from assaults or illnesses. A vicious circle of poverty, criminality and displacement is part of their everyday lives. They never get to experience unconditional affection or personal esteem. We give children like them security, education and confidence. Orphans and others were neglected and dropped by their parents. Most of these children end up on streets in search of survival. We also help widows and the very elderly who have no one to help them out to have the basic essentials of life like food, water and good shelter.
